This document outlines the process for creating and configuring outbound routes in Tegsoft.
It covers the following topics:
- Understanding outbound routes
- Accessing the outbound routes menu
- Configuring route parameters
- Assigning trunks to outbound routes
- Assigning authorized users to outbound routes
An outbound route specifies to the PBX which extension users are permitted to make outbound calls, the trunks to be used for these calls, and how trunks are selected based on defined patterns.
1. How to Access the Outbound Routes Menu?
Click on the Infrastructure Management → Outbound Routes tab to access the outbound routes settings page.
On this page, new outbound trunks can be created, or trunks settings can be customized.
2. Which Settings are in the "Details" Section?
The following screenshot and table include the setting options (parameters) and their descriptions in the Details section.
Parameter | Description |
---|---|
Route name | Name of the created outbound route. A meaningful name can be given related to the route. |
Password | Optional. Set a password for the outbound route. If a password is set, users are required to enter a password when they try to make outbound calls through this route. |
CLI Type | Display name type is selected when transferring the outbound route. |
Display Name | Display name when transferring the outbound route. |
Display Name Prefix | Prefix added to display name. |
Use Case | Use case scenario of the pattern is selected. There are three options: "If pattern matches", "Ignore pattern", "Never". |
Music on hold | The music played to the customer while waiting on the line is selected. |
Time condition | The time condition is selected. There are two options: "In period" and "Out of period". After selecting one of them, another combo-box opens next to it and one of the predefined time conditions is selected. For more detailed information on time condition definitions, please refer here. |
Disable | Select whether the created outbound route will be active or not. |
Requires account code | Select whether or not to require an account code. |
Notes | A field for your notes. |
Start recording | Select whether or not to start voice recording for calls made with the created outbound route. The default selection is unchecked. |
Voice Recording Prefix | Prefix added to the names of voice recordings. |
Stop Recording | Select whether or not to stop voice recording for calls made with the created outbound route. The default selection is unchecked. |
Forwarded calls (181) | This setting determines whether to "Cancel dialing for calls being forwarded" or "Continue dial processes" when the SIP log indicates "181," signifying that the dialed number is unreachable and an operator message has been played. |
Regulation Check | Checks through the İYS (İleti Yönetim Sistemi) if the customer has given permission for outbound calls. |
Trunk usage order | Trunk usage order is selected. There are two options: "Use as defined order" and "Random". |
TRANSFERCONTEXTID | Manages transfer routes through profiles for outbound calls with transfer permissions. Authorized users can transfer calls to external GSM numbers using key combinations (e.g., *2 or ##), based on server settings. |
Id | The unique identifier for the defined rule. |
3. Patterns and Trunks Assignment
For detailed information about Patterns, please refer here.
Field Name | Description |
Outbound Pattern | An Outbound Pattern specifies rules for routing calls based on dialed digits. It ensures that agents can only call numbers matching the defined patterns in the relevant route, providing controlled and accurate call routing. |
Prefix | The Prefix is an optional setting added to the beginning of a number that matches a pattern before placing the call. |
Cut Prefix | The Cut Prefix is an optional setting that specifies the number of digits to remove from the beginning of the dialed number before placing the call. |
Notes | A field for your notes. |
In this section, the trunks which will be authorized for the relevant outbound route are assigned. If trunks need to be selected and assigned to the relevant route one by one, the > icon is clicked. If all trunks are to be assigned to the relevant route as authorized at once, the >> icon is clicked.
4. Authorized Users Assignment
In this section, the users who will be authorized for the relevant outbound route are assigned. If authorized users need to be selected and assigned to the relevant route one by one, the > icon is clicked. If all users are to be assigned to the relevant route as authorized at once, the >> icon is clicked.
