How to Integrate Tegsoft Widget to Salesforce?

This article covers how to integrate Tegsoft Widget with Salesforce.

1. Download Tegsoft XML File

First, the XML file required for Salesforce integration needs to be downloaded from Tegsoft.

Please customize the link below to download the TegsoftSalesforceDefinition.xml file.

Please do not forget to replace the {{TEGSOFT_SERVER}with your own Tegsoft FQDN! (Please make sure it's replaced with the FQDN, not the IP address.)
Please do not forget to replace the {{SALESFORCE_SANDBOX_URL}with your Salesforce sandbox URL provided by Saleforce.

2. Salesforce Integration

Please follow the steps below for integrating Tegsoft Widget to Salesforce.


1. Login to the Salesforce with admin account.


2. Click the gear icon in the upper right corner, then click the Setup button.

3. Write "Call" in the search bar on the left of the page, then select the Call Center from the search results.

4. Click the Continue button.

5. Click the Import button.

6. Choose the XML file downloaded in step 1 by clicking the Choose File button, then click the Import button.

7. After the import process, the XML file general information is listed.

8. After the import process, click the Manage Call Center Users button to assign the users to the call center.

8. The assigned users are listed on this page. Click the Add More Users button to add a new user.

9. Enter the parameters related to the user information and click the Find button.

Select the user to be added from the search results and click the Add to Call Center button.

10. After the integration and user assignment processes are completed, the layout needs to be defined.

After clicking the Softphone Layout tab from the left menus, click the New button to add a new layout.



11. Give the layout a name, leave the settings as default, and then click the Save button.

12. Write "App Manager" in the search bar on the left of the page, select the App Manager from the search results.

Find your app from the list and click the Edit button.

13. Click the Utility Items (Desktop Only) tab on the left of the page.

Click the Add Utility Item button.

Select the Open CTI Softphone.

Enter the Utility Item Properties. (The recommended panel width and length is 340x550)

After all these steps are completed successfully, Tegsoft Widget is now integrated with Salesforce.


TEST - Activation & Login 

When the application is configured, the Tegsoft Interface appears as an icon in the lower right corner. Click this icon to open the Tegsoft Widget as pop-out window.

Login to Tegsoft Widget by entering login credentials.

TEST - Click & Dial

Once logged in, a blue call icon appears next to phone numbers for click-to-call via Tegsoft Widget.

Allow "Use your microphone" pop-up notification to be able to make calls.

After the microphone permission is granted, the call for the contact in Salesforce CRM initiates via Tegsoft Widget.
