Number Masking Process

Definitions

Number Masking (Call Masking, Number Anonymization, Phone Number Masking, Anonymous Calling, Masked Calling Service): Is the service used for engaging two or more people without knowing/seeing their phone numbers

Caller: The customer or the courier that will initiate the first call, is the person calling.

Callee: Customer or the Courier that will receive the masked call

Callee1 or Callee2: The customer or the courier that will be receiving the masked call. When multiple people receive calls usually callee1, and callee2 are used to define instead of callee.

API: A software function that may initiate calls or mark caller and callee.

BridgeWithAnnouncement: This is the API that initiates a call bridge between the caller and the callee. Tegsoft announces one or both parties before bridging the call. The announcement is played once the call is answered, and then the two parties are connected.

OriginateWithVariables: Initiates a call with dynamic parameters (numbers, announcement ID, etc.). Sends details (like who to call) to the API, which then starts the call. More details can be found at the link https://apidocs.tegsoft.com/#0f8127fa-0f0f-449c-91e8-03c01c7db57c

Scenario Types

I- Caller (GSM Dial) -> Fixed Number -> API ->Callee (GSM Dial)

  1. The call is initiated by the Caller via GSM (mobile phone).

    1. Caller directly dials a specific fixed number using their GSM phone.

    2. The call is directed to a fixed number, which is configured to route the call through the Tegsoft API.

  2. Tegsoft API receives the call and processes the request.

    1. The Tegsoft API identifies the incoming call from the Caller .

    2. API Operation: The API queries its database to match the Caller with the appropriate Callee based on the contact matching rules.

    3. The system retrieves the GSM number of the correct Callee to proceed with the call.

  3. Tegsoft API initiates a call to the Callee.

    1. Once the matching process is complete, the Tegsoft API uses the "originateWithVariables" command to call the Callee via their GSM number.

    2. Parameters Sent to Tegsoft API:

■ extension: {{CALLER GSM}} (The GSM number of the Caller)

■ destination: {{CALLEE GSM}} (The GSM number of the matched Callee)

■ profile: {{BRANCH PHONE NUMBER}} (The fixed branch phone number)

■ variables:cdrDID: {{GuID}} (The transaction ID for tracking purposes)

  1. The Callee sees the fixed branch phone number and answers the call.

  2. Tegsoft API bridges the call between Caller and Callee.

    1. Once the Callee answers, Tegsoft bridges the call, establishing a direct connection between the Caller and Callee.

  3. The conversation continues between the Caller and the Callee.

  4. When the conversation ends, the system disconnects the calls.

    1. After the conversation ends, Tegsoft terminates both calls and logs the transaction.

II - Caller (GSM Dial) → Fixed Number (Announce and Wait via Music On Hold) → API → Callee (GSM Dial) (Bridge with announcement)

  1. The call is initiated by the Caller via GSM.

    1. Caller initiates the call via GSM.

    2. API Operation: The BridgeWithAnnouncement command is sent to Tegsoft API.This command receives the instruction from the Caller and initiates the call process.

    3. Sent Parameters:

■ extension: {{CALLER GSM}} (The GSM number of the Caller)

■ destination: {{CALLEE GSM}} (The GSM number of the Callee to be called)

■ profile: {{BRANCH PHONE NUMBER}} (The fixed branch phone number)

■ variables:

■ cdrDID: {{GuID}} (The ID for tracking the transaction or call)

■ AnnouncementID: {{Tegsoft Announcement ID}} (The ID of the announcement uploaded to Tegsoft)

  1. Tegsoft provides music on hold or an announcement to the Caller.

    1. API Operation: The "MusicOnHold" command or "Announce" command is issued to play music on hold or a greeting message for the Caller.

■ Music on Hold: Caller listens to hold music while waiting for the Callee to answer.

■ Announcement: Or, an announcement message can be played, for example: "Your call is related to a delivery for [Callee Name]. Please stay on the line."

  1. Tegsoft calls the Callee and waits for an answer.

    1. The "BridgeWithAnnouncement" command is used to call the Callee via a fixed number.

    2. Callee hears a greeting message before the call is connected. The announcement is based on the AnnouncementID sent to Tegsoft.

    3. Example announcement: "Hello, you will be discussing a delivery related to [Callee Name]. Please stay on the line."

  2. Callee answers the incoming call via GSM mobile phone and listens to the announcement.

    1. When Callee answers the call, they hear the announcement message:

      ■ "Hello, you will be discussing a delivery related to [Callee Name]. Please stay on the line."

    2. After the announcement finishes, Tegsoft connects the call, and the conversation begins.

  3. Tegsoft connects the Caller and the Callee.

    1. After Callee answers and listens to the announcement, Tegsoft bridges the call, establishing the connection between Caller and Callee.

  4. The conversation continues.

  5. When the conversation ends, the system disconnects the calls.

III – Mobile or Web Application Initiate Both Calls | Fixed Number → Callee1 (GSM Dial) (Bridge with announcement) | Fixed Number → Callee2 (GSM Dial) (Bridge with announcement)

1. The call is initiated through a customer-side mobile or web application.

a. The "BridgeWithAnnouncement" and "OriginateWithVariables" commands are used to initiate the call. The necessary parameters (such as phone numbers, call type, etc.) are sent to the Tegsoft API.

2. Tegsoft calls Callee1 and waits for an answer

a. API Operation: The "BridgeWithAnnouncement" command is sent to make the call to Callee1 via a fixed number.

3. Callee1 answers the incoming call via GSM mobile phone.

a. When Callee1 answers the call, they hear the announcement message:

"Hello, you will be discussing a delivery related to [Customer Name] through [Company Name]. Please continue with the call."

b. After the announcement, Tegsoft connects the call and the conversation begins.

4. Tegsoft calls Callee2 and waits for an answer.

5. Callee2 answers the incoming call via GSM mobile phone

a. Callee2 hears a similar pre-configured announcement message before the call is connected. Example announcement:

"Hello, a delivery will be made to you on behalf of [Customer Name] through [Company Name]. Please continue with the call."

b. After the announcement, Tegsoft connects the call and the conversation begins.

6. Tegsoft connects Callee1 and Callee2.

a. API Operation: After both Callee1 and Callee2 have answered and listened to their respective announcements, Tegsoft bridges the call, connecting both parties together. The call is now fully established between all participants.

7. The conversation continues between all parties.

8. When the conversation is finished, the system disconnects the calls.
