How to Integrate WhatsApp to Tegsoft Web Chat via Infobip?

1. Facebook Business Manager Activation

First, you need to activate Facebook Business Manager to get your Facebook Business Manager ID. So, please create an account from Facebook Business Manager by following the steps in flowchart below.

2. infobip Account Activation

Before using WhatsApp for business communication, you must activate your infobip account and go through the official approval procedure. Here is an overview of the process:

Please, follow the steps below to activate infobip account.

1. Go to https://www.infobip.com/ and login to your account after signing up.


2. Copy API Base URL.

 This is your URL in Tegsoft integration and activation step. Please keep it for future use.


2. Click Channels and Numbers.

3. Select WhatsApp.

 

4. Click Senders.
    Click Edit configuration.


5. Define URL for incoming messages. 

Your URL shall be in the format
https://TEGSOFT_SERVER_URL/Tobe/app/ApplicationServlet?externalService=textRouter&TRUNKTYPE=INFOBIPWHATSAPP&TRUNKID={TRUNKID}

You can obtain TRUNKTYPE and TRUNKID parameter values from the PBX Management ➔ Text Routing page in Tegsoft.


3. Tegsoft Integration and Activation

After the infobip account activation, integration parameters shall be set in Tegsoft software.

Follow the steps below in Tegsoft software to set integration parameters.

Step 1 – Click CC Management tab
Step 2 – Click Contact Center Settings tab
Step 3 – Click Plus (+) to add new integration parameters
Step 4 – Set parameters
Step 5 – Click the Save

The parameters in Step 4 are described in the table below.

Account TypeSelect account type as infobip from the list.
URLEnter your BaseURL obtained from infobip.

UsernameEnter your infobip username.
PasswordEnter your infobip password.

4. Create and Configure Web Chat Skills (Queues)

After all integration parameters are configured, web chat skill shall be created.

5. Define Text Routing Rules

After web chat skill (queue) is created, text routing rules shall be defined.
